JOIN YOUNG JUDAEA NOW!!!

GREAT WAY TO MAKE NEW FRIENDS!!!

Young Judaea offers club programs for all these age groups

Grades 3-5 Ofarim Club
Grades 6-8 Tsofim Club
Grades 9-12 Bogrim Club

One year's membership to Young Judaea is $30.00. Each member receives invitations to all YJ local and regional events and subscription to one of Young Judaea's publications, designed and written for each level of the movement.

Young Judaea is pluralistic as our members come from a variety of backgrounds (Orthodox, Conservative, Reconstructionist, Reform, and secular backgrounds). Through our many programs, we educate about Zionism and strive to bring our members closer to Israel, ideologically, spiritually and physically.

More than 300 Young Judaea clubs nationwide offer year-round activities and meetings. Members learn about each other, Israel and Judaism through a unique style of informal education using stories, games, outings, social gatherings and exposure to Jewish and Israeli cultural arts.

Young
Judaea Regional Programs

Young Judaea Regional Programs provides activities for Jewish youth in order to instill and build Jewish and Zionist identity and help them develop an understanding of Israel's role in the Jewish world.

Young Judaea's regional conventions allow for youth of all denominations from throughout the region to meet. Club members, summer campers and members-at-large are encouraged to attend conventions in their regions. Conventions take place over the course of various weekends, and include Shabbat experiences, social events, exposure to Jewish and Israeli culture, as well as social action and activism programs. Regional conventions allow for peer leadership opportunities. The peulot (programs) are run by teens for teens, and teens for elementary age children. These programs are run in a fun and informal manner and strive to promote Israel awareness.

In addition to conventions, Young Judaea runs a variety of regional social action events throughout the year to help the American Jewish community and be a voice for Israel. Examples of events include rallies, fundraisers, vigils, and petition campaigns.

Many kids may be a member of one of our local or regional boards. The mazkirut is a board made up of high school leaders, elected by their peers to lead a particular YJ region or club. Their responsibilities include educational programming, fundraising, promoting Young Judaea's programs to the membership, and leading activism programs on behalf of Israel. The mazkirut embodies peer leadership, a major pillar of Young Judaea, the Zionist youth movement sponsored by Hadassah.
