An Open Letter From Our Principal Jack Kusher

Dear Parents,

Shalom and welcome to our Religious School. We're extremely happy to welcome our new students and their families as well as our established Temple family.

In our Religious School, it is our desire to teach our children about our traditions, customs, long history, and all of the experiences that have made us the people we are today. Through our modern curriculum, varied activities, proven teaching techniques and strategies, and hands-on experiences, our students will find a strong Jewish educational foundation as well as spiritual nourishment. In order for us to give our children the proper foundation, we must be able to assess their progress. Our teachers do so in an ongoing basis and should be commended for helping our children learn.

This is a partnership. We give the children a strong foundation at school, you must support us at home. Our children should be proud to learn about their heritage - it is certainly an exciting and deeply moving one. If Hebrew School is seen as a 'chore', that's how our children will feel about it. If you can motivate them at home, they will cherish the Jewish experience and carry it with them all of their lives.

Once again, Shalom. May this year be a successful, healthy, and peaceful one!

 In Health and Peace,

Jack Kusher
