Committee Descriptions

The Membership Committee is responsible for implementing and overseeing outreach to attract and enroll new members to the congregation.  

The Ritual committee oversees all aspects of worship at Etz Chaim including High Holiday planning. 

The Education Committee brings educational and stimulating programs to the Temple membership and oversees the Hebrew School with the Rabbi.

The Social Action Committee develops programs for Temple activities in the areas of community social action and charitable works. It coordinates outreach efforts within the community and with people and organizations of other faiths.

The Fundraising Committee oversees all short term fundraising activities for the Temple, as well as scheduling and coordinating these activities with other Temple and community events.

The Building Committee has overall responsibility for the maintenance of the existing building and grounds.  As well as for the planning of projects involving alterations to or expansion of the existing building and grounds.

We also need people who have an interest in managing our website, advertising or social media management.
